2006-07 Men's Basketball

Scranton Too Much for the Warriors
Nowlin Scores 18 in Loss

WILIAMSPORT, Pa.—The men’s basketball team (7-6) traveled to Scranton (11-3) on Wednesday night for a Freedom Conference match-up. Despite four Warriors reaching double digits, Lycoming was topped by the Royals 83-72.

Jemayne Nowlin (Gaithersburg, MD) scored a season-high 18 points, including five three-pointers for the blue and gold. Meanwhile, Matt McGair (Mt. Laurel, NJ) also achieved a personal-best 13 points with eleven coming in the first half. McGair co-led Lycoming with five rebounds on the night. Rickey Varnell (Patterson, NY) also grabbed five boards.

Kevin Morris (Camp Hill, PA) went 7 of 13 from the field for 16 points, while David Wilson (Pottsville, PA) contributed 14. Scranton’s Paul Hawk netted 19 second half points (22 all day) to lead the Royals to victory.

Lycoming shot a scorching 62.5% in the second period, but couldn’t come up with the victory.

The Warriors travel next to FDU-Florham for a 3:00 p.m. game on Saturday, January 13. A women’s game precedes the men at 1:00.
