Lycoming
Falls at Susquehanna
Turnovers Spell the
Difference
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.— After a long road trip to division one
Lafayette College on Thursday night, head coach
Don Friday’s
team traveled just down the road to face Susquehanna on Sunday.
The Warriors fell to the sharpshooting Crusaders 78-54.
Lycoming was
led by Kevin Morris (Camp Hill, PA) and Jemayne Nowlin
(Gaithersburg, MD), each of whom had ten points. Sophomore
Greg Sye (Chantilly, VA) added eight points. But the
Warriors hit just one three-pointer in the first half and found
themselves down by ten at halftime.
Susquehanna
junior Josh Robinson scored 32 points, including eight
three-pointers. The Crusaders attempted 26 shots all night from
downtown. Normally, the sure-handed Warriors would control the
tempo to combat such an attack, but Friday’s troops turned the
ball over an uncharacteristic 20 times and shot poorly from the
field.
In the
paint, Morris and freshman Billy Goodell
(Williamsport, PA) each had a block. However, it wasn’t
enough to stifle an aggressive Susquehanna team.
The Warriors
travel to Elmira on Saturday afternoon for a 1:00 p.m. game.
This will be the last warm-up before Lycoming takes on crosstown
rival Penn College on Tuesday, December 19.
