Lycoming Falls to King’s
Four Warriors Reach Double Digits in Loss

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s men’s basketball team dropped a Freedom Conference match-up to King’s on Wednesday night 79-61. Four Warriors reached double digit scoring in the game.

Junior Kevin Morris (Camp Hill, PA) led Lycoming with 15 points, hitting all nine of his free throws. Meanwhile, freshman center Ricky Varnell (Patterson, NY) grabbed a team-high eight rebounds on his way to 10 points on the night.

Junior captain David Wilson (Pottsville, PA) scored nine first-half points, including all three free throws, to keep the Warriors close at the half, 33-24. Wilson notched four points in the second period to total 13 all night.

Sophomore Jemayne Nowlin (Gaithersburg, MD) hit Lycoming’s only two three-pointers of the game and finished with 11 total points. Anthony Watson (Philadelphia, PA) had a team-high four assists and Trevor Whaley (Williamsport, PA) had a pair of steals.

The Warriors suit up again on Saturday, February 10, for a 3:00 p.m. game against DeSales at Lamade Gymnasium. The Freedom Conference match-up will be preceded by a women’s game.
