LYCOMING MEN’S BASKETBALL TOPS DREW

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s basketball team traveled to Drew University, Saturday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference game. The Warriors turned in their best defensive effort of the season, defeating the Rangers 58-32. Lycoming remains perfect at 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Drew falls to 2-3 and 0-2.

The Warriors led from start to finish, limiting the Rangers to just 14 points in the first half and 18 points in the second half. All 14 players dressed for Lycoming saw at least five minutes of action and 10 different players recorded points.

Curtis Mays (Jr./Philadelphia, Pa.; University City) and Kevin Morris (Fr./Camp Hill, Pa.; Trinity) led the Warriors with 10 points apiece. Jonathan Pribble (Jr./Woolrich, Pa.; Central Mountain) and Patrick Baylor (Jr./Broomall, Pa.; Cardinal O’Hara) each added eight markers, while Dave Pearson (Fr./Strasburg, Pa.; Lampeter-Strasburg) chipped in six points and a pair of blocked shots. Jeremiah Edison (Sr./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg) grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.

David Cramer was the Rangers’ leading scorer with six points in the contest.

Lycoming will return home for their next contest, hosting New Jersey City University in a rematch of last season’s second-round NCAA playoff tilt. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, in Lamade Gymnasium.
