LYCOMING MEN’S BASKETBALL TOPS
DREW
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s basketball team
traveled to Drew University, Saturday afternoon, for a Freedom
Conference game. The Warriors turned in their best defensive
effort of the season, defeating the Rangers 58-32. Lycoming
remains perfect at 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Drew
falls to 2-3 and 0-2.
The Warriors
led from start to finish, limiting the Rangers to just 14 points
in the first half and 18 points in the second half. All 14
players dressed for Lycoming saw at least five minutes of action
and 10 different players recorded points.
Curtis Mays
(Jr./Philadelphia, Pa.; University City)
and Kevin Morris (Fr./Camp Hill, Pa.; Trinity) led the
Warriors with 10 points apiece. Jonathan Pribble (Jr./Woolrich,
Pa.; Central Mountain) and Patrick Baylor (Jr./Broomall,
Pa.; Cardinal O’Hara) each added eight markers, while
Dave Pearson (Fr./Strasburg, Pa.; Lampeter-Strasburg)
chipped in six points and a pair of blocked shots. Jeremiah
Edison (Sr./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg) grabbed a
game-high seven rebounds.
David Cramer
was the Rangers’ leading scorer with six points in the contest.
Lycoming
will return home for their next contest, hosting New Jersey City
University in a rematch of last season’s second-round NCAA
playoff tilt. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Wednesday,
December 8, in Lamade Gymnasium. |
