LYCOMING MEN’S BASKETBALL TO HOST LEHMAN COLLEGE IN FIRST-ROUND OF NCAA TOURNAMENT

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the brackets for the 2004 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship, Sunday evening. Lycoming College will host Lehman College in the first round on Thursday, March 4. Tip-off for the game will be 7 p.m. Tickets will be $4 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and students. Children under two years of age will be admitted free of charge.

The Warriors, 20-7, earned an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament as champions of the Freedom Conference. This will be their second appearance in the national tournament in three seasons. In 2002, Lycoming defeated Gettysburg College in the opening round before falling to Randolph-Macon College in the second round.

The Lehman Lightning, 22-6, earned an automatic berth to the championships by winning the City University of New York Athletic Conference.
