LYCOMING’S L.J. HUGGLER NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College senior L.J. Huggler (St. Mary’s, Pa.; St. Mary’s) has been named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week for men’s basketball.

Huggler led the Warriors through a 3-0 week that included two conference victories. For the week, the senior center averaged 18.3 points and 4.0 rebounds, while shooting 69% from the field. His totals included 13 points and three rebounds in a 77-60 win over Elmira; 14 points and six rebounds in a 72-59 victory over Wilkes; and 28 points and three rebounds in a 67-64 win over FDU-Florham. Huggler’s performance against FDU was especially important as Lycoming’s two leading scorers, Matt Stackhouse and Jonathan Pribble, missed the game due to injuries.

The Warriors are 12-4 overall this season and in third place in the Freedom Conference with a league mark of 4-1. Lycoming will play again on Wednesday, January 28, when they host DeSales University for an 8 p.m. tip.
