LYCOMING MEN’S BASKETBALL REMAINS
UNDEFEATED
GLENSIDE,
Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s basketball team traveled to
Arcadia University, Monday evening, for a non-conference game.
The Warriors pulled away in the second half for a 67-50 victory
to keep their record perfect at 9-0 overall. The Knights fell to
1-8 on the season.
The Warriors
were a bit sluggish early in the game, shooting just 33% from
the field in the first half. However, a 10-of-12 effort from the
free-throw line kept Lycoming within one, 28-29, at halftime.
In the
second half, the Warriors picked up the defensive intensity
while remaining nearly perfect from the charity stripe,
connecting on 15-of-16 attempts. The end result was a 17-point
victory on the road.
Kevin Morris
(Fr./Camp Hill, Pa.; Trinity)
led Lycoming in scoring with 18 points, including 15-of-15 from
the free-throw line. He also grabbed six rebounds. Jonathan
Pribble (Jr./Woolrich, Pa.; Central Mountain) added 11
points and six rebounds, while Brad Musser (Jr./Mifflinburg,
Pa.; Mifflinburg) chipped in 10 markers and four assists.
Jeremiah Edison (Sr./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg) led the
Warriors with 11 rebounds and scored six points. Patrick
Baylor (Jr./Broomall, Pa.; Cardinal O’Hara) contributed nine
points and eight rebounds.
Lycoming’s
next contest will be on Wednesday, December 29, versus the
United States Merchant Marine Academy in a tournament hosted by
Randolph-Macon College. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. |
