WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming
College men’s basketball team hosted the Pennsylvania College of
Technology, Saturday evening, in the first ever meeting of the
two cross-town institutions. The Warriors withstood an emotional
effort by the Wildcats to claim a 67-65 victory. Lycoming
improves to 11-2 overall this season with the win. Penn College
falls to 4-5 overall.
The Warriors controlled the
action early in the contest building a 12 point lead midway
through the first period. The Wildcats, however, were able to
chip away at the deficit and close with four at halftime.
In the second half, Lycoming
again began to pull away stretching their lead to 52-39 with 13
minutes to play. But Penn College would not go away as they got
hot from three-point range and closed with 58-56 just five
minutes later. The Warriors, however, kept their composure,
extending their lead back to seven points with a minute to play.
The Wildcats made things interesting with a three-point play and
a layup in the closing seconds, but it was not enough as
Lycoming claimed the victory.
Jeremiah Edison (Sr./Mifflinburg,
Pa.; Mifflinburg) led
all players with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the contest.
Jonathan Pribble (Jr./Woolrich, Pa.; Central Mountain) added

Trinity) chipped in 14 points and four rebounds. Brad
Musser (Jr./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg) tallied a
game-high seven assists to go along with seven points.
Penn College was led by Ken Vialet
with 16 points and five assists. Adam Walker added 13 points,
nine rebounds, and seven assists. Dawan Moore also scored 13
points.
The Warriors will play at home
again on Wednesday, January 12, when they host Freedom
Conference rival King’s College. Tip-off for the game is
