WARRIOR MEN’S HOOPS DROPS SECOND
STRAIGHT
DALLAS, Pa.
– The Lycoming College men’s basketball team traveled to College
Misericordia, Wednesday evening, for a non-conference tilt. The
Warriors led by as many as 10 points in the first half, but the
Cougars got hot from three-point range in the second half and
came back for a 79-73 victory. Lycoming falls to 10-2 overall
with the loss. Misericordia improves to 5-6.
The Warriors
started strong, building a 10-point advantage six minutes into
the contest. The Cougars, however, chipped away at their deficit
and pulled within five by halftime at 33-28. The comeback
continued in the second half as the home team connected on
7-of-11 three-point field goals en route to the six-point win.
Kevin Morris
(Fr./Camp Hill, Pa.; Trinity)
led Lycoming in scoring with 23 points on the strength of five
triples. Morris also pulled down seven rebounds. Jonathan
Pribble (Jr./Woolrich, Pa.; Central Mountain) added 19
points and four assists. Jeremiah Edison (Sr./Mifflinburg,
Pa.; Mifflinburg) was the Warriors leading rebounder with 10
boards to go with nine markers. Patrick Baylor (Jr./Broomall,
Pa.; Cardinal O’Hara) also scored nine points.
Misericordia
was led by Tony Rezykowski with 21 points, including five
three-pointers. Michael Morak and Joshua McCabe each added 18
points while Andre Little recorded 13 markers as the Cougars had
four players in double digits.
Lycoming will look to get back
into the win column on Saturday, January 8, when they host the
Pennsylvania College of Technology. Tip-off for the game is
scheduled for 7 p.m. Any area student bringing his or her report
to the game as proof of honor roll status or perfect attendance
will be admitted free of charge as part of the Warriors’
Academic Achievement Night.
