WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming men’s basketball snapped its two game losing
skid with a 66-52 triumph over Arcadia University in
Williamsport on Sunday afternoon. The
Warriors even their
record at 2-2 while the Knights fall to 0-4 on the season.
Lycoming shot a
lights out 54.5 percent from the field in the first half
including 5-for-12 from beyond the arc to go into the half up
37-21. The 16-point edge would be all the Warriors needed as
they seemingly traded baskets with the Knights in the final 20
minutes on the way to victory.
Senior forward
Jonathan Pribble (Woolrich, Pa./Central Mountain) led
four Warriors in double figures with 23 points. He shot
7-for-12 from the field including 3-for-5 from three-point
range. Pribble also added eight rebounds to his efforts.
Sophomore Dave Wilson (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) had
much to do with Lycoming’s first stanza outburst as he poured in
all 13 of his points before the intermission. Freshman Greg
Sye (Chantilly, Pa./Chantilly) recorded his third
double-double in four games with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and
senior Brad Musser (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) dropped
in 10
tallies to go along with five assists and a pair of
steals.
Arcadia had a
pair of double digit scorers led by Eric Elliott’s 16
points. Center Andrew Martin added 10 tallies in support
while Sterling Green pulled down a team-high seven
boards.
Free throw
shooting was at a premium as neither squad took much advantage
of its extra opportunities. Lycoming kept Arcadia at a distance
by doubling the Knights’ free throw chances 32-16. The Warriors
converted only 22 from the stripe (for 68.8 percent), but
Arcadia didn’t take advantage in making merely 11 shots from the
line (for 66.7 percent).

its Freedom Conference schedule this Wednesday, November 30,
against the University of Scranton. Game time is set for 8:00
