HIRES MEN’S BASKETBALL ASSISTANTS
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – Lycoming College men’s basketball coach Don Friday
has announced the hiring of David Stark and Scott Miner as
assistant coaches for the 2003-2004 season.
Stark
is a 2001 graduate of Lycoming and was a member of the Warrior
basketball team for four seasons. The true definition of a
student-athlete, Stark earned degrees in accounting and actuarial
mathematics while carrying a 3.95 grade point average. As an
assistant coach his primary duties will include working with the
frontcourt players, on-court-coaching, overall team defense, and
pre-season conditioning. Stark will also be responsible for alumni
relations and academic support for the team.
Miner
is a 1989 graduate of Bloomsburg University. His coaching
experience includes three seasons as head coach at Penn
State-Wilkes-Barre and most recently a season as an assistant
coach at Marywood University. Miner will be responsible for
working with the backcourt players, overall team offense, scouting
and recruiting.
“I’m
very pleased with the staff we’ve been able to assemble,” said
Friday. “David is eager to begin his coaching career and brings
a tremendous amount of enthusiasm to the program. As a Lycoming
alum, he also provides a connection to the tradition and history
of Warrior basketball. Scott brings a solid coaching background to
the program. His years of experience as both an assistant coach
and head coach will be invaluable to the team.”
