MEN’S BASKETBALL DEFEATS DELAWARE VALLEY
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – The Lycoming College men’s basketball team traveled to
Delaware Valley College, Saturday afternoon, to begin the second
half of the Freedom Conference schedule. The Warriors led from
start to finish for the second consecutive game en route to a
92-74 victory over the Aggies. Lycoming improves to 12-7 overall
and 7-1 within the conference with the win. Delaware Valley drops
to 5-13 and 0-8.
The Warriors had
four players score in double digits as they shot 60% from the
field for the game. Lycoming also out-rebounded the Aggies 39-29.
The Warriors led by 12, 48-36, at the half and stretched their
lead to as large as 27 before cruising to the 18-point victory.
Tommy Wesner
(Sr./Dillsburg, PA; Northern)
was the game’s high scorer with 23 points, including four
three-pointers. Matt Stackhouse (Jr./Hughesville, PA;
Hughesville) added 19 points and seven rebounds, while
blocking four shots. Jonathan Pribble (Fr./Woolrich, PA;
Central Mountain) scored 18 points and L.J. Huggler
(Jr./St. Marys, PA; St. Marys) chipped in 15 markers and seven
boards.
Tim Smink led
Delaware Valley with 13 points. Randall Graves and Josh Wurtz each
added 12 markers.
Lycoming
is at home for their next contest, hosting Wilkes University on
Wednesday, February 5. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
