WARRIOR MEN’S BASKETBALL GROUNDS EAGLES

ELMIRA, NY – The Lycoming College men’s basketball team traveled to Elmira College, Monday evening, for a non-conference tilt. The Warriors shot 52% from the field and out-rebounded the Eagles 50-40 en route to a 79-74 victory. Lycoming improves to 5-1 on the season, while Elmira falls to 2-4.

Matt Stackhouse (Sr./Hughesville, Pa.; Hughesville) led the Warriors with 26 points and a career-high 22 rebounds. He also recorded three blocks and three assists in the contest. Jonathan Pribble (So./Woolrich, Pa.; Central Mountain) added 16 points, including three triples. Jeremiah Edison (Jr./Mifflinburg, Pa.; Mifflinburg) came off the bench to chip in 14 markers and grab five rebounds. Shaun Morris (Jr./Camp Hill, Pa.; Trinity) contributed 10 points.

The Eagles were led by Brett Beers with 16 points and Brian Robertson with 14 points.

Lycoming shot nearly 60% from the field in the second half, including 4-for-4 from three-point range. The Warriors also made 32 trips to the free-throw line in the game compared to just 11 attempts for Elmira.

Lycoming will play again on Wednesday evening when they travel to Division I Lafayette College. Tip-off for the contest is 7 p.m.
