WARRIOR MEN’S BASKETBALL COMEBACK DOOMS DEVILS

MADISON N.J. – The Lycoming College men’s basketball team overcame a five-point halftime deficit to defeat FDU-Madison, 76-72, in a Freedom Conference tilt Saturday afternoon. The victory improves the Warriors season mark to 14-6 and their conference mark to 7-3, ensuring them at least a share of second place in the conference. The Devils fall to 9-11 and 5-5 with the loss.

Lycoming was led offensively by Chris Napier (Sr./Port Jervis, NY; Minisink Valley) and Tommy Wesner (Jr./Dillsburg, PA; Northern) who each scored 19 points. The duo also recorded seven rebounds apiece. Matt Stackhouse (So./Hughesville, PA; Hughesville) added 12 points, while also blocking three shots. Jason Black (Sr./Duncannon, PA; Susquenita) chipped in 10 markers and grabbed seven boards.

The Warriors will return home for their next contest when they host Drew University on Wednesday, February 6. Tip-off for the game will be at approximately 8 p.m. following the women’s half of the doubleheader.
