LYCOMING MEN’S BASKETBALL WILL TRAVEL TO GETTYSBURG COLLEGE FOR FIRST ROUND OF NCAA PLAYOFFS

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Despite a one-hour delay, the NCAA announced the 48-team field for the Division III Men’s Basketball National Tournament, Sunday evening. Lycoming College will travel to Gettysburg College on Thursday, February 28, for a first round contest. Tip-off for the game will be at 7:00 p.m.. The winner will advance to face Randolph-Macon College on Saturday, March 2.

The Warriors (19-7) earned a berth in the NCAA playoffs by winning the Middle Atlantic Freedom Conference championship. Lycoming defeated King’s College, 72-64, Saturday evening to win the title. This will be the program’s third trip to the NCAA Division III tournament.

The Bullets (20-6) earned a berth in the NCAA playoffs by winning the Centennial Conference championship. Gettysburg defeated Franklin & Marshall College, 50-47, Saturday evening for the championship.
