MEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS TO ELMIRA
ELMIRA, NY –
The Lycoming College men’s basketball team traveled to Elmira
College, Monday evening, for a non-conference contest. The
Warriors could not match the hot shooting by the Soaring Eagles
who claimed a 97-85 victory. Lycoming falls to 4-2 overall with
the loss, while Elmira improves to 5-2.
The Soaring
Eagles shot a blistering 59% from the field in the first half to
race out to a 49-42 lead. Elmira’s sharp shooting continued in
the second half, while the Warriors connected on just 38% of their
shots for the entire game.
Tommy Wesner
(Sr./Dillsburg, PA; Northern)
was Lycoming’s leading scorer with 21 points – all on
three-point field goals. He also led the squad with five assists. Matt
Stackhouse (Jr./Hughesville, PA; Hughesville) added 17 points
while grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds. L.J. Huggler (Jr./St.
Marys, PA; St. Marys) chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds.
Shaun Morris (So./Camp Hill, PA; Trinity) came off the
bench to tally 11 points for the Warriors.
Lycoming
is in action again on Wednesday, December 18, when they travel to
Division II Mansfield University. Tip-off is scheduled for
approximately 8 p.m. following the women’s contest.
