MEN'S BASKETBALL WINS THIRD STRAIGHT; PERFECT IN FREEDOM
DOYLESTOWN, PA --
The Lycoming College men's basketball team ran their record to 6-1
and remained perfect in the MAC Freedom Conference at 2-0 with an
88-73 victory over Delaware Valley College, Saturday afternoon.
The win was the Warriors' third in a row and dropped the Aggies to
4-4 overall and 0-2 within the conference.
Lycoming shot 56%
from the field in the first half as they raced out to a 45-28
halftime lead. Delaware Valley found their stroke in the second
half as they attempted a comeback, but the Warriors would not
surrender the lead cruising to a 15-point victory. Tommy
Wesner (Jr./Dillsburg, PA; Northern) led all scorers with 25
points, including a trio of three pointers. Chris Napier
(Sr./Port Jervis, NY; Minisink Valley) added 23 points and six
rebounds to the effort. Matt Stackhouse (So./Hughesville, PA;
Hughesville) played another strong game inside, leading the
team with 10 rebounds while scoring 10 points and blocking three
shots. Jason Black (Sr./Duncannon, PA; Susquenita) chipped
in 13 markers. Lycoming
will continue on a mid-season road trip as they travel to the
Chowan College Tournament on Dec. 14 and 15, before heading to
Washington D.C. to take on defending Division III national
champion Catholic University on Monday, Dec. 17.
