LYCOMING’S MURDOCK NAMED MAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Lycoming College freshman Matt Murdock (Elysburg, Pa.; Southern Columbia) has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference defensive player of the week for football.

Murdock led a Warrior secondary that limited Moravian to just 31 yards passing in a 26-14 victory, Saturday afternoon. Murdock recorded just two tackles in the contest, but intercepted two passes as Lycoming allowed the Greyhounds just four completions on 22 pass attempts.

As a team, Lycoming is now 5-1 overall this season. The Warriors are ranked 23^rd in the nation and tied for first place in the MAC. Their next game is on Saturday, November 1, when they travel to Juniata College.
