THREE WARRIORS
NAMED PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
– Three Lycoming College student-athletes have been named
players of the week in their respective sports by the Middle
Atlantic Conference. Jeff Kocher (So./Churchville, Md.; C. Milton Wright) has been
honored for men’s soccer, Nick
Pinto (Jr./Philadelphia, Pa.; Archbishop Ryan) has been
honored for football, and Seneca
Reilly (Jr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) has been honored for
volleyball.
Kocher
continued his superb offensive play last week, leading the
Warriors to a pair of victories that extended their winning streak
to eight games. Kocher scored one goal in a 2-0 conference win
over Wilkes University and then added three goals, including the
game-winner, in a 6-3 victory over Baruch College. Kocher now has
13 goals and eight assists this season for a total of 34 points.
Pinto
helped lead Lycoming’s defense and secondary in a 38-21 win over
Albright, Saturday afternoon. Pinto recorded eight tackles and
intercepted a pass as the Warriors held the Lions to 350 yards of
total offense – 125 yards below their average.
Reilly
led the Warriors to a 4-1 record last week, including a three-game
victory over defending conference champion King’s College. For
the week she totaled 178 assists in 15 games for an average of
11.9 assists per game. Reilly also recorded 21 digs, five service
aces, and four kills during the week.
