SCHMIDT NAMED TO D3FOOTBALL.COM’S
TEAM OF THE WEEK
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – Lycoming College junior defensive back Tim Schmidt
(Philadelphia, PA; Roman Catholic) has been named to
the d3football.com Team of the Week. D3football.com
is the premier website covering NCAA Division III football.
Schmidt recorded
two interceptions last week in the Warriors’ 14-20 overtime loss
to Widener. He returned the takeaways a combined 59 yards and set
up both of Lycoming’s scores in the game. Schmidt also tallied a
pair of tackles in the game. For the season, he is tied for the
team lead with three interceptions and has a total of 11 tackles.
Lycoming
has had at least one player named to the d3football.com Team
of the Week four out of five weeks this season. Defensive back Matt
Henrich (Sr./Huntingdon, PA; Huntingdon) was honored in week
one, wide receiver Ricky Lannetti (Jr./Philadelphia, PA; Father
Judge) was named to the team in week two, and the entire
offensive line of Matt
Mendola (Jr./Dunmore, PA; Dunmore),
Jay Seagreaves (Jr./Allentown, PA; Allentown Central Catholic),
Dickie Houck (Jr./Bethlehem, PA; Bethlehem Catholic), Mike
Juba (Sr./Taylor, PA; Riverside), and Andy Miller
(Jr./Emporium, PA; Cameron County), was recognized in week
three.
