| Art wrestled at 177 pounds for Lycoming and emerged as a truly great small college wrestler. In the 1963-64 season, he wrestled undefeated through the regular season, the Middle Atlantics and to the final bout of the Small College nationals before being defeated. That second place finish, earned Art All-America honors and a chance at the NCAA Major Tournament. He placed three straight years in the Middle Atlantics, winning his weight class in 1964. Art captained the Warriors during the 1966-67 season and is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, OK. He was a pilot with Air Wisconsin at the time of his death in August of 1990. |
