Lester H. Dye, Class of 1938 (Deceased)
Inducted September 30, 1988

Les, recognized as one of the finest athletes to ever perform for Dickinson Seminary, was a varsity performer in football, basketball, and baseball.  The Seminary team won the Eastern Junior College Football Championship in 1937 and was 5-1 in 1938 with a win over the Army Piebes from West Point.  Les finished his undergraduate work at Syracuse and later worked there as a dean of admissions, athletic director and a freshman football coach.  In 1974 Les was honored as a Letterman of Distinction which places him in the Syracuse Hall of Fame.
