Department Award

The Department of Sociology-Anthropology awards The Durkheim Prize each year at the College’s Honors Convocation held in April. The Durkheim Prize is awarded to the outstanding senior within the major based upon their academic excellence, professional promise, and service to the department and community. IN 2015, the department began awarding the Durkheim prize in Sociology, and the Durkheim Prize in Anrthropology. Recent recipients of the Durkheim Prize include:
