Weight Room

For those individuals interested in leading a healthier lifestyle and increasing stamina, Lycoming College boasts a state of the art Fitness Center.

Machine Inventory: Rowing Machines, Expresso Bikes, Recumbent Bike, Treadmills, Elliptical Cross Trainers, Adaptive Motion Trainers (AMTs) and an Upper Body Ergometer. Cardio Theater is also available, just bring along your headset to tune into the TVs!

Weight Room Rules

  1. Please observe weight room etiquette and demonstrate courtesy and respect towared others at all times.
  2. Always be ready to help and encourage anyone who may need help.
  3. Wipe down equipment upholstery and handles for the next user. Cleaning solution (spray bottles) and paper towels are provided throughout the weight room for convenience.
  4. Never drop dumbbells on the platforms or the floor; do not drop weight stacks.
  5. Return equipment to its rightful place. A disorderly weight room is not only inconvenient, but is also unsafe.
  6. Please re-rack weight plates and dumbbells and return all other accessories to their proper locations after use.
  7. Do not alter the placement of the equipment.
  8. Please wear proper training attire at all times; athletic shoes required; jeans are not permitted.
  9. Excessively load or offensive music is prohibited.
  10. Weight belts and spotters are recommended for all heavy lifting exercises.
  11. Please pick up your towels, water bottles or other personal items.
  12. Request permission to "work in" between sets, and allow others the same courtesy when using strength training equipment. Please do not sit on machines between sets.
  13. Immediately report all accidents, injuries and equipment failures to staff.
