Kelly Zarski - Director of Recreation and Intramurals

Kelly Zarski is a native of Danville, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. She earned her Master’s degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Emporia State University.

Serving as the Director since November 2011, Kelly is responsible for the overall operations of the Keiper Recreation Center and Intramural Sports Program at Lycoming College. She recruits, trains and supervises thirty-five student employees a year to assist in effective overall operations. Kelly and her student staff offer recreational, health and wellness programs for students, faculty and staff. The objectives of the programs are to provide learning opportunities using recreation, health and wellness as a medium that will create lifelong memories. Examples of past successful programs are the Warrior Extreme Challenge, the Haunted Rec, Benefits of Chocolate Milk Post Workout (and milk give-a-way), Minute to Rec It, Turkey Bowling, the Warrior Triathlon, Mario Kart Tournament and many more. Kelly provides leadership and guidance for Intramural Sports which is largely a student-led program. Kelly also coordinates a variety of Fitness Classes offered to the college campus. She is in charge of scheduling the Keiper Recreation Center and ensuring proper maintenance of the facility occurs in a timely fashion. Kelly works closely with Buildings and Grounds and other college departments to provide arrangements for special events housed in the Keiper Recreation Center.
