The psychology practicum offers a unique experience to Lycoming College students. Ideal for students interested in pursuing careers in clinical or counseling psychology, the practicum offers a full year of training for psychology majors. Each student is paired with a mental health professional in the community. Following is a sample of practicum placements:
Individualized student research experiences in the areas of development, sensation and perception, social psychology, and biopsychology are also available to psychology majors. In addition, all students enrolled in Research Methods (PSY 431W) complete an independent research project that culminates in a final poster and APA style paper.
