My most influential professor is: Dr. Sandy Kingery. Sandy’s dedication to her work and students is impeccable. I hope one day to be able to speak as fluently in Spanish as she can and to inspire others like she has inspired me.

Favorite campus event: My favorite campus event is Homecoming -- it’s a week full of school pride! The best part has to be the football game on Saturday that consists of tailgates, Homecoming King and Queen reveal and being able to see all of the alumni!

My big college moment: My big college moment happened when I went on the 2016 LACES Spring Break Dominican Republic trip. There, the LACES team and I reconstructed and built playgrounds, created an English tutoring room and visited the public and private schools within Santo Domingo and Las Tarenas. It was throughout this trip that I realized Spanish needed to be a major of mine and inspired me to study abroad in Madrid, Spain for the Fall 2016 semester.

Advice for incoming students: Go into college with a blank slate and really find who you are! This is the time for you to grow and experience life in a whole new way. Don’t forget to fall in love with Lycoming -- it’s hard not to!
