Hometown: Catonsville, Maryland

High School: Catonsville High School

My most influential professor: Leah Peterson is my most influential professor because she's provided me with internship opportunities and has supported and encouraged me in making decisions about my future in the film industry.

Favorite class experience: I love having the opportunity to act for various student films and make films of my own.

My big college moment: My big college moment was my decision to join a fraternity. I initially didn't have a lot of friends at Lycoming and yet my peers reached out to me and expressed interest in my joining their organization. I felt like I was a part of something and that feeling still sits with me today.

Why I chose my major: Since high school, I've had a passion in filmmaking and acting for films. Lycoming's Digital Media Communication major appealed to me because it focused on all aspects of filmmaking including cinematography, directing, screenwriting, editing and more. Having all of these skills is beneficial for my career path because it helps improve my odds in finding a job related to filmmaking.

Global experiences: Through Lycoming's study abroad program, I've been able to go to my dream country of Italy and immerse myself in the culture and enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to travel and experience another country in a way most people don't get to experience.

Advice for incoming students: Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Lycoming is a very open and welcoming community. You can make lifelong friends and have a lot of great experiences if you're willing to step outside your comfort zone a little bit!
