Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Grechen Lynne Wingerter received her Master of Fine Arts in Directing at the University of Idaho. While at UI, Grechen directed Fuddy Meers, Waiting for Godot, and Three Days of Rain. Other directing credits include Interment, The Laramie Project, A Thousand Cranes, Spoils of War, The Lesson, and Krapp's Last Tape. Here at Lycoming, she has directed Independence and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Grechen has also stage-managed for such theatres as Idaho Repertory Theatre, Circle X Theatre, Critical Mass Performance Group, Classical Theatre Lab, Lifeline Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, First Stage Milwaukee, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and Idaho Theatre for Youth. Grechen received her B.A. in Theatre/Acting from Illinois State University and her M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois. She also completed the Post-Graduate Directors Course at Mountview Conservatory for the Performing Arts in London, England.
