Dale A. Orris

Dale Orris is well-known throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania as a music educator and performer. He is a former lead trumpeter and jazz soloist with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Buddy Rich Big Band.
Presently, he is teaching in the Lewisburg Area School District at Donald Eichorn Middle School. He also holds the position of Adjunct Instructor of Trumpet at Bucknell University and Lycoming College. He is currently the Jazz Band director at Bucknell University.
In addition to his teaching positions, Mr. Orris has been performing with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra as Principal Trumpet. He also performs with many jazz groups throughout Central PA, New Jersey, and Maryland.
Mr. Orris is also active as an adjudicator and clinician and is a former Pennsylvania State President of the International Association of Jazz Educators.(IAJE)
