Carole Moses received her doctorate with a double specialization in Renaissance and early American literature. She has published articles on writers such as Shakespeare, Austen, Homer, Melville, Hemingway, Fitzgerald and, most recently, Fanny Fern. In addition, she has a composition textbook and a book on Melville.
