Areas of Expertise: Saxophone and Jazz Improvisation

Richard Adams has been active on the Central Pennsylvania music scene for over 20 years. A founding member of "Jazzin," he performs regularly with ensembles small and large, and has been a guest artist/clinician for Dickinson College, Lock Haven University, Bloomsburg University, and numerous area high schools. Richard studied jazz under Ed Tomasi and Herb Pomeroy at Berklee, and was a private student of jazz legend, Phil Woods. As a concert saxophonist, he performs with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and is co-founder of the Valley Saxophone Quartet. Richard is an applied saxophone instructor at Lycoming College.
