Criminal Justice, 2004
While at Lycoming College, L.J. Huggler was successful in both the academic classroom and on the Lycoming College Men’s Basketball Team. L.J. is now dedicated to alternative education for at-risk youth. He is a Lead Teacher at the Daniel Boone School in North Philadelphia, with a primary focus on behavioral management of 5th and 6th graders. He works with a student population which has been expelled from public schools for activities such as fighting. L.J. is proud of having helped raise the daily student attendance rate from lower than 70% to a daily average of over 90% and works in areas such as Chicago, New Orleans, and Wichita to help establish additional alternative schools.
L.J. is pictured here with several of his students.
