VICE PRESIDENT FOR ENROLLMENT
MANAGEMENT PRIORITIES
Lycoming College has long benefitted from the strength and
stability of its enrollment sector. However, like all institutions
of its kind, the College faces an ongoing challenge to attract
and retain more than 400 new and talented students each year.
An expanding geographical draw, annual pricing and financial
aid decisions, and a need to effectively “brand” Lycoming’s
distinctiveness all contribute to the complexity of this challenge.
Thus, priorities for Lycoming’s next Vice President for Enrollment
Management include the following:
Provide leadership for the development and implementation
of a strategic enrollment plan for Lycoming College that
will be an integral part of the College’s new strategic plan to
be adopted in 2015
Assess all enrollment-related functions in order to preserve
existing strengths and identify opportunities for innovation
and improvement
Leverage the recent hiring of an international recruiter to
further build a diverse international student population
Strategically enhance student recruitment efforts beyond
Lycoming’s current geographic markets
Provide leadership in building relationships with both private
secondary schools and college preparatory public charter
networks
Leverage financial aid to achieve optimum enrollment and
increase net tuition revenue
Build on the recent partnership with the Knowledge is Power
Program (KIPP) and further strengthen Lycoming’s ability to
recruit talented students from underrepresented ethnic groups
Collaboratively provide leadership for the institution’s
retention efforts
