Our Chapter of SPS was installed in 1968 and Sigma Pi Sigma was installed in 1973 by Dr. Marsh White. The first adivisor, Dr. Mort Fineman, held the position for eight years and in 1981 Dr. William Keig took the reigns until 1989. Dr. David Fisher has held the post of advisor from 1989 until 2009. During this time, the Lycoming chapter has achieved five Outstanding Chapter Awards (90-91, 91-92, 93-94, 96-97,97-98,98-99).

Two of our presidents received SPS Leadership Scholarships, Tania Slawecki (1987) and Brian McNoldy(1997). The Lycoming Sigma Pi Sigma Chapter has inducted 107 people, including eight faculty (Fineman, Jamison, Smith, Erikson, Radspinner, Keig, Fisher, Wolf, Desilva). In 2009, Dr. Kulp took over as SPS advisor. We have enjoyed over 40 years of activity and are looking forward for more.
