The
yearbook is an organization that strives to provide an accurate and
lively portrayal of campus activities, to capture the memories of the
campus for those who want to look back on their college life in their
future.
This
year we have a small staff with the exception of the help we are
receiving from Communications 230, a desktop publishing class. We are
very thankful for the enthusiasm of the students who are actively
supporting us. Our advisor is Robin Van Auken, and the editor is Jennifer
Wray. The rest of our staff includes: Kelyn Stump, Nhu Nguyen, Sara
Crabtree, Tatyana Sokolova, Sarah Reich and Katy Grzywinski. They have been
helping to pull the yearbook together.
The
desktop publishing class has been helping the yearbook thoroughly, by
bringing in any photos that they can find from activities throughout
the year. By using a program called “Page Maker”, the class formats
the photographs and sets them into templates for yearbook usage. Their
help has been greatly appreciated and we hope to work with this class
in the future.
The
Arrow is in its first year being handled by the Communications
department instead of Student Programs. We hope that our communication
skills enhance the yearbook, bringing it into the high-tech world that
we now live in. It is the goal of this year's staff to produce a
sophisticated and well-round publication. We are always welcoming help
from the college community, whether it is actually doing hands on work
for the yearbook or providing us with information and pictures.
