This is a listing of all past website news updates that we
have records of (basically since I created this version
of the TKE website). Instead of the normal navigation
on the left there is a directory of years of updates
to look through. On this page will be the updates from
the current year, 2004.

| Elections and Updates! |
Posted: 11/10/04 |
| Things
have been pretty busy around here lately and
we're right in the middle of a TKE-packed week.
Pledging is almost over, the Read-A-Thon was
a huge success (thanks to all who participated
and helped out), and we're right in the middle
of officer elections. So far two of the three
nights of elections are over and so far the
following offices have been decided:
- Prytanis - Trevor Dolan
- Epi-Prytanis - Greg Coale
- Histor - Pat Bierly
- Crysophylos - Brian Yeager
- Hypophetes - David McElwee
- Grammateus - Josh Andreas
Thursday will be the last round of elections
with Hegemon, Pylortes, RUSH Chair and Chapter
Advisor being decided. In other news, the annual
Quaker Rake is this Saturday. Anyone interested
in joining the brothers of Mu-Theta in this
community service event can meet us in our lounge
at 10am.
As far as general website updates go, I finally
removeed the defunct Events page since we haven't
used that in well over a year. Also, I have
updated the look for brother profiles in the
Scroll List.
Oh, and you can now view pictures of this semester's
pledges on the Current Class
page. There has also been an update to the alumni
page.

| Read-A-Thon Info! |
Posted: 10/31/04 |
| TKE
will hold its 2nd annual Read-A-Thon in order
to benefit the Kirby Fenton Fund. Starting on
November 5th at 6pm, 6 brothers will read for
36 hours in one hour rotations until November
7th at 6am. The brothers reading are as follows:
Brian Yeager, Mark Katzenbach, David McElwee,
Tom Courtney, Josh Andreas, and Luigi Raccanelli.
The event will take place in Burchfield Lounge
in the Wertz Building. The brothers will be
unable to leave the lounge during the duration
of the event.
The money for the fund will go to benefit the
family of Kirby Fenton, a brother and graduate
of Lycoming from 1980. Fenton died of brain
cancer in December of 2003. Fenton lived in
Seminole, Florida, where he worked as a police
officer for 18 years. Fenton is survived by
his wife and two children.
Donations can be made at the site of the event
or can be mailed to the following address: Kris
Accardi, 700 College Place, Box 209, Williamsport,
PA, 17701. Please make checks out to the Kirby
Fenton Fund. Last year the brothers made over
$1000 dollars and would like to surpass that
amount this year, so please help out! |
| Updates! |

|
Well, it's been a while since I've done
an update. It's been a fairly busy month. Todd
Farmer came in from TKE Nationals the other
week and presented us with the Top TKE Plaque,
which was very beautiful to behold. We have
two members in our fall pledge class. Also,
today is the last day of our second homecoming
for the year.
I have an update for the 2005 RCB -- The final
date for that event is March 19th, so mark it
on your calendars and prepare now. Some other
website updates are updated brother profiles
as well as an updated gallery.
The gallery includes three new Fall 2003 and
two new Spring 2004 galleries. More recent galleries
will be up soon! Enjoy folks!

| RCB '04 and The TEKE Magazine |
Posted: 09/27/04 |
|
First off we need to let everyone know
that April 2nd isn't going to work for the RCB
this coming year due to facility reservation,
but it will be on either March 12nd or March
19th, we just haven't decided yet. So for all
you alumni: try to keep these dates open and
we'll let you know which one we choose as soon
as possible. Better yet, if you have a preference
then please email Alumni Information on the
Contact Page.
In other news, I finally got my hands on a
copy of The TEKE Magazine. Mu-Theta is, without
a doubt, one of four Top TKE Chapters for 2003-2004.
This means that we excelled in all seven areas
that TKE nationals looks at when ranking how
well a chapter is doing. Congratulations fraters!
Also in The TEKE Magazine is alumni frater
Mark "Poohy" Puzdrak 508 who was awarded
Volunteer of the Month for September 2004. For
those of you who don't know, Poohy graduated
in the Spring of 2002 and is currently the Grand
Province Advisor for the Chesapeake Province.

| Mu-Theta claims Top TKE Chapter for '04! |
Posted: 09/21/04 |
|
This just in: the latest edition of The
TEKE Magazine has Mu-Theta listed as one of
four chapters bestowed with the highest honor
of the fraternity: the title of Top TKE Chapter.
Through hard work, sweat and blood we have risen
to the top! Congratulations fraters on this
tremendous accomplishment, and let us continue
to show everyone what we are made of! More information
on this announcement will be presented here
when it becomes available.

| Post-Homecoming Update |
Posted: 09/20/04 |
|
We'd like to thank all of the alumni that
made it back this past weekend. The brotherhood
would also like to extend special thanks to
frater John Lea for purchasing a brand new TKE
flag for the house, and frater Walt Chubrick
for getting the brothers brand new pool sticks.
So, thanks for everyone for a great homecoming,
and be sure to check the calendar
page for lots of new updates on events for
the semester.

| Homecoming '04 |
Posted: 09/17/04 |
|
It's homecoming fraters! Well,
sort of. This year it's a bit more complicated
than usual. First off, homecoming is insanely
early this year. Secondly, Chris "P-Ting"
DeHart 511 is getting married this weekend to
one of our ex-sweethearts, Kerrilee Morton.
The reason this is a problem is that several
actives, as well as most of the alumni from
the past five or six years, will be attending
this wedding instead of homecoming.
For those of you who will be here this weekend
fear not! We will still be having most of our
homecoming weekend events, though we apologize
that things will not be quite as hectic as usual.
Events start this evening with a Meet and Greet
social in the lounge at 8pm. Also, please view
the alumni page for news on a second TKE Homecoming
that will allow all of our younger alumni (and
older too!) to come and visit when there are
no other commitments. There's not too much else
to report so we hope you all have a great homecoming
this year!
As far as general updates, the calendar has
been updated.

| General Update |

officers, committees, and room pages. The calendar has also been updated. Coming soon:

| Back from the Summer |
Posted: 09/02/04 |

We'll soon be updating with lots of information from the summer, and we apologize
for the long period of silence. In order to speed up this process, if anyone has an event
or news item that occurred this summer or is coming up soon, please email it to the
Webmaster. Thanks, and here's to
a busy semester!

We now have a picture and quote of Abby on the sweetheart

| New Brothers Update! |
Posted: 04/01/04 |
|
Never a big fan of fake news on April Fools' Day, I put my time and effort
into actually updating the website instead of tricking you all with something
along the lines of "Founder of Playboy becomes TKE Mu-Theta Honorary". But anyway,
the entire website has been updated to reflect the latest class of brothers. The
only thing that isn't up for them is scroll list profiles, though those will be up within
a week I suspect.
The end of the semester is fast approaching and we'll be seeing off eight of our brothers
who have been there for the fraternity through thick and thin. Let's all enjoy the rest of the
semester, and remind these guys just why they joined TKE Mu-Theta!

| Faculty B-Ball Cancelled! |
Posted: 03/26/04 |
|
Sorry everyone, but due to a scheduling conflict with the gym, there's no
basketball game tomorrow. Many apologies to everyone involved from the entire
brotherhood of TKE, but there's nothing we can do as the basketball game
was booked over by another event that can't be moved. Don't blame anyone folks,
these things happen. Hopefully next time things will go smoother.

| New lounge couches! |
Posted: 03/25/04 |

Thanks goes out to TKE alumni Brian Belz for providing the fraternity with
a whole slew of new furniture for the lounge.

| Jail and Bail friday! |
Posted: 03/24/04 |
|
Would you like to put one of your professors, friends,
or faculty, "under arrest". Well this Friday,
26th from 12:30 to 5:30 pm, the brothers of
Tau Kappa Epsilon are holding our Annual Jail
and Bail event in our lounge, center East Hall!
Proceeds of this philanthropic event will benefit
the Angela Kite scholarship fund. The bail for
each individual will be set at a minimum of
$5 and upwards. Need more info., contact denkevi@lycoming.edu.

| 'Chaser' playing this Saturday |
Posted: 03/24/04 |
|
Local band "Chaser" will be playing this Saturday, March
27 at Jack's Corner at 9:30 to midnight! Come
see some great music brought to you by a band
that includes TKE brothers Matt Stendardi, Greg
Coale and David Monti. Also, everyone who comes
to the event will be entered to win a $25 Gift
Certificate to the Lycoming Mall. There will
be 2 winners but you must be present to win.
The drawings will be held during the sets. |
| Hunger Strike this weekend! |
Posted: 03/18/04 |
|
The John Kneisly Hunger Strike will be held this weekend
to raise money for the Richard Kneisly Weight-Awareness
Fund, started by Richard's son, John Kneisly.
This fund is designed to provide money for research
being done to cure morbid obesity, and to help
poor families pay for surgery relating to this
genetic disorder. This genetic disorder is the
disease that killed Richard Kneisly. Donations
are raised through solicitation by the people
fasting, as well as from donations given to
the people fasting once the 48 hours are over
in order to pay for food, bringing everyone
back up to full strength. If anyone is interested
in striking or helping our John with a donation
please email John at knejohn@lycoming.edu.

| Scroll and Sweetheart Update |
Posted: 03/18/04 |
|
The sweetheart section
of the website has been updated due to the induction
of our new sweetheart, Abby Franks. A picture
and quote will be put up as soon as I get those
from her. Also, I have added brother profiles
for all of the actives that didn't have one,
as well as updates on others. These can be seen
from links on the brothers
page or directly by looking at the most recent
scroll list pages
and clicking on a brother's name. If the name
is in bold, it is a link to their profile. Any
questions, feedback, or changes can be sent
to me here.

wonderful time at the Red Carnation Ball this

any questions, feedback, or perhaps pictures

| Spring Pledge 2004 and Newsletter Update |
Posted: 02/07/04 |
|
Not that big of an update this time except information-wise.
First off, there is tons of news in the newest
newsletter.
There is a list of officers for 2004 as well
as a list of pledges and their big brothers
for spring 2004. It looks like it's going to
be quite the semester!

| Bid Return and Updates! |
Posted: 02/02/04 |
|
RUSH week was this past week and everything went very
well with eight bids returned on Bid Return
night last Friday. Once the bid returnees are
officially signed into the program I will make
an announcement listing their names and the
big brothers that they have chosen. This update
should go up this coming Sunday or shortly thereafter.
As for general site updates, there are now more
dates on the calendar
with more to follow once I get a list of dates
from the Vice President and various committees.
Also, the committee chair
page has been updated to reflect this semester's
new committees.

| RCB Update! |
Posted: 01/28/04 |
|
Important Update: The RCB has been moved for the second,
and final time, due to scheduling conflicts
with the people we schedule it with. The new
and final information is that the Red Carnation
Ball 2004 will be held at the Scottish Rite
on Saturday, March 13th. For more information
see the alumni page.

| Scratch that ... |
Posted: 01/09/04 |
| Ignore
the 'cleaned up soon' comment in the last post,
I didn't feel like sleeping quite yet so I decided
to go ahead and clean up a bunch of the galleries.
Things like white borders and punctuation are
much better in most places now. Oh, and if anyone
wants to know the definition of insomnia, it's
3:40 A. M. and after typing in over 300 names,
the scroll list now has every alumni's name
listed. Enjoy.

| Gallery Updates |
Posted: 01/09/04 |
|
There are now five galleries available in the Photo
Album section, all from fall 2003. Check
them out, and please email me at blajaso1@lycoming.edu
if you find any errors, problems, or whatever.
Some of the pictures will be cleaned up soon
(blurry, white edges, etc.) and more galleries
are on the way!

| Happy New Year! |
Posted: 01/08/04 |
| Well,
break is about over and soon everyone will be
back on campus and have plenty going on again.
This past semester was pretty lax in updates,
but have no fear because with duties reorganized
you can expect more updates and more content!
That's right, with me being full-time website
guy again there will actually be current
updates. As usual, if you have any comments
or requests for the website please email me
at blajaso1@lycoming.edu.
Cheers!
