What Is TKE?

Tau Kappa Epsilon was founded on January 10, 1899 at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. Since then, it has grown to become the worlds largest fraternity, with chapters in the United States and Canada. On August 6, 2009, we reached 250,000 members, and we continue to grow every year. As of now, there are 274 chapters and colonies throughout the US and Canada, so it is quite likely to run into a TKE on many campuses, and out on the street.

TKE brothers are brothers for life, and even long after graduating, any TKE alumni will be willing to share his fond memories of the place he called home, and the men he called his brothers.
