Lycoming College
 Psychology Club

Meetings are held every Wednesday at 7:30 in Pennington Lounge.

What is it?

Psychology Club is an academic organization whose purpose is to enhance educational experiences through activities outside the classroom in the field of psychology, as well as to interact with other students interested in psychology.  We are dedicated to offering students the opportunity to learn more about the vast field of psychology through a variety of activities. The Psychology also helps students prepare for graduate school and learn about job opportunities in the psychological field.

Who can join?

We welcome any and all Psychology majors, minors, anyone interested in the field, or even students who just simply want to try something new to the Psychology Club.

What's Happening?

Spring 07

Psi Chi (the National Honor Society in Psychology) is pleased to invite you to attend a dinner and presentation by Dr. Kathleen Cain (Gettysburg College) on Wednesday, April 18, 2007.

Dr. Cain is currently an Assistant Provost and Professor of Psychology at Gettysburg College.  She has done extensive research on achievement motivation and helplessness in children and her recent research has been examining theory of mind.  The title and abstract for her talk can be found in the Academic Bulletin and at the end of this email.

Psi Chi will be inducting its newest members following dinner and Dr. Cain's talk on April 18, you are welcome to attend the dinner, presentation, and induction ceremony (the induction ceremony itself will last only about 15-20 minutes, however, we understand if you are unable to stay for the entire event).
