The following was discussed at tonight’s meeting:
Expanding Class Awareness and Involvement:
Class Officer Flyer: Planned on emailing a flyer with biographical and contact information.
Opening 2 meetings per semester to the entire class. If enough interest is generated we talked about developing focus groups.
Fundraising:
A t-shirt sale: Possibly splitting costs / profits with Student Senate. A meeting to discuss this will be held Tuesday August 29 at 9:00.
The Carnival: Scheduled for Sunday September 2 from 12-6:00. Karen is going to sign up for a game Tuesday at 10:00. We plan to get help from other members of the class for Sunday’s game.
Other future fundraisers were discussed.
The Class of 2008 Website:
Tiffany will be posting new officers and basic contact / biographical information.
Activities:
Homecoming Week:
Monday – We discussed forming a Class of 2008 volley ball team for the tournament.
Wednesday – We plan on doing “pie in the face” for hall crawl and getting RAs to volunteer…
Thursday – We discussed having representatives from the class participate in Jell-O wrestling.
Park Clean-up: Amil is checking with Marco to find out when Habitat for Humanity cleans up the park. We are tentatively planning the cleanup for September 16 (8:00 - 12:00).
OC or Grey’s Anatomy premiere night: We discussed having this activity in Jack’s Corner in September. The possibility of providing free pizza or snacks was discussed.
Talent Show: Possibly to be held on November 10. Duties / Responsibilities will be divided closer to the date.
