Alpha Sigma Tau Recruitment

Just What Is Recruitment? Recruitment is a period where fraternities and sororities on campus plan fun and exciting calendar of events throughout each semester. Participating in recruitment is free and does not require that you join a sorority or fraternity, but it is a great way to get to know a wide range of students in different programs and of different ages. This period is designed to get to know the members of each sorority or fraternity as a whole.

Recruitment at Lycoming College
Formal
recruitment periods are a 4-day week long event held by
Lycoming College's Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council (IFC)
that takes place in the Fall and Spring semester. The 5th day is
Bid-Return Day where students who went through Recruitment find out if they
received a bid or a formal invitation from one of the sororities and
fraternities. Because Alpha Sigma Tau is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), it recruits new members under NPC's guidelines.
