The Lycoming College chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, the international honor society for anthropology and sociology students, recently inducted two students in April.
Among those inducted are:
Jessica L. Hoff, a sophomore sociology and Spanish major
Melissa E. Vollman, a graduated senior with a major in anthropology
Alpha Kappa Delta seeks to promote excellence in scholarship within the study of sociology, the research of social problems, and other social and intellectual activities that lead to improvement in the human condition. To qualify for membership, students must have a major in sociology or anthropology, maintain an overall GPA of 3.0, and rank in the top 35 percent of their class.
Susan Ross, Ph.D., associate provost for experiential learning, was the chapter’s advisor.
