The Lycoming College Art Department will host Anthony Cervino's "All's Well that Starts Well" Oct. 27-Nov. 27 in College's art gallery in Snowden Library.

Cervino's work, as suggested by the show's title, is meant to be a loosely told narrative. The objects in his sculptures act as characters, telling stories about their surrounding environments that hint to a complex relationship between identity, space and time. Although the sculptures are meant to tell personal stories, they are also used to convey messages about larger social experiences.

Cervino is a sculptor and assistant professor of art at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. He is also the former director of exhibitions at the Corcoran College of Art and Design.

Founded in 1812 and celebrating its bicentennial during the 2011-12 academic year, Lycoming College is a national liberal arts and sciences school dedicated to the undergraduate education of 1,400 students. It offers 35 academic majors and is recognized as a Tier 1 institution by U.S. News and World Report. Located near the banks of the Susquehanna River in Williamsport, Pa., Lycoming is one of the 50 oldest colleges in the nation.
