Student receives photography recognition

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Lycoming College junior photography and commercial design major Lindsay Stern placed as a finalist in Serbin Communications' 31st Annual Student Photography Contest, sponsored by Nikon, USA.

Stern's work will be published in the hardcover book "Best of College Photography 2011," along with selected photographs of all winners, honorable mentions and finalists. The contest involved over 3,500 students from the U.S., Canada and other countries.

Lycoming College is a national liberal arts and sciences school dedicated to the undergraduate education of 1,400 students. It is recognized as a Tier 1 institution by U.S. News and World Report. Founded in 1812 in Williamsport, Pa., Lycoming is one of the 50 oldest colleges in the nation.
