Riana Ricci Muller, a violin instructor at Lycoming College, has co-authored an article in the May issue of The Strad, an international magazine for professional and amateur string players. The article is an interview with Riana's father, the world-renowned violinist Ruggiero Ricci. He discusses his top technique tips for string players. Muller holds the prestigious Ysaÿe Medal and Diplome d'Honneur awarded by the Ysaÿe Foundation in Brussels, Belgium, for her world premiere performance of Eugene Ysaÿe's Violin Concerto No. 8. She was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by Chamber Music America, and has published articles in the "American String Teacher" and the "New York School Music News." She maintains an active performing schedule including chamber music, recitals and orchestral playing.
Muller earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Eastman School of Music, and studied violin with Joseph Knitzer, Carroll Glenn, Louis Persinger and her father. She is the violinist and the author of the DVDs "Classical Music in the Foreign Language Classes."
