Sasha Piastro-Tedford has sung with numerous opera and music theater companies including the New York Conservatory for the Arts, Pittsburgh Music Theater, the Ellis School, Pittsburgh Opera, and Penn State Opera Theater. She has also sung with internationally respected conductors such as John Mauceri, Sidney Harth, and Robert Page, and with well-known directors such as Dorothy Danner, Jonathan Eaton, and Charlie Repole. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the National Opera Association, as well as the Associated Guild of Musical Artists. Ms. Piastro-Tedford received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in voice performance from Carnegie Mellon University and her Master of Music degree in voice performance and pedagogy from Penn State University. She is now working on her Doctorate of Musical Arts in voice performance at Shenandoah Conservatory.
