Archaeology Resources: Databases


A comprehensive reference database designed to support religious and theological scholarship in graduate education and faculty research.

Provides access to journals, newsletters, and bulletins of the American Anthropological Association.

Provides access to digital, full text archives of core journals in discipline areas including Arts and Sciences I, II, and III, Business, and Language and Literature. JSTOR strives to provide an entire run of each title starting with volume one, issue one back to the early 1800s.

ARTstor (pop-ups must be enabled)
ARTstor is a rich digital library that will offer coherent collections of art images and descriptive information as well as the software tools to enable active use of the collections. The ARTstor Library's initial content will include approximately 300,000 images covering art, architecture and archaeology.

Academic Search Elite
This multi-disciplinary database offers full text for more than 2,050 scholarly journals, including more than 1,500 peer-reviewed titles.

Access to a growing collection of journals in a variety of subject areas, some with full-image articles online.

Religious and Theological Abstracts
Provides objective summaries of articles appearing in scholarly journals in the fields of Religion and Theology. Lists a wide variety of periodical literature, including Christian, Jewish, and other world religions, and provide English language abstracts of articles in English, Hebrew, Afrikaans, and major European languages. For off-campus access, please contact a librarian for a username and password.

LexisNexis Academic
The service covers newspapers, magazines, wire services, federal and state court opinions, federal and state statutes, federal regulations, and SEC filings such as 10-K's, 10-Q's, and their exhibits.
