  3. Set up an RSS feed for this blog using Google Reader, Bloglines, or any other RSS reader.
  4. Do a search in one of your library's subscription databases. Set up an alert or RSS feed to be notified when new articles are added to that database that fit your search.
  5. Set up an alert or RSS feed to be notified when one of your favorite journals publishes a new issue.
  6. Set up an account on Wikipedia. Look up your library or school name, or any other topic that interests you. Make a small change and save it.
  7. Set up an account on a social networking site like Facebook, MySpace, LibraryThing, Shelfari, or LinkedIn. Can you find any of your friends, colleagues, classmates? If so, request to be their friend, and send them a message.
