For Fun - Staff Picks

From time-to-time, we run across something that is particularly helpful or worth trying out. Please note that while we are providing the URLs for these picks, they are subject to change without notice, since they are sites that are not maintained by the College. Here are some recent picks from the IT Services staff:

Office Remote

Free app that allows you to use your phone as a remote for Powerpoint, Word and Excel documents.  Note - you must have the ability to connect your phone via bluetooth to the PC you are using, and you must be using Office 2013.

Possible users: Faculty/staff and students

Staff: Julie

What we like about it: works well with Powerpoint for presentations where you do not want to be stuck at a podium advancing slides.  Also, the app has nice features like the ability to view notes and thumbnails of the slides at the same time, and a preview of the upcoming slide in your presentation.
