Training

For New Employees

IT Services offers one-on-one training to each new employee, covering these topics:

  • Passwords – requirements, enrollment in password management tool, policy
  • Email – access through Outlook client and Outlook WebApp, address book and name search
  • Network folder – accessing on campus and LycoCloud
  • MyLyco faculty/staff portal
  • WebAdvisor basics – finding pay advices, Student Locator

In addition, for faculty members, training is available on the basics of the Moodle course management system.

Workshops and Topic Sessions

Sessions are offered throughout the year, and are announced through campus emails. In the past academic year, topics have included:

  • Use of the Outlook 2010 Calendar
  • Windows 8/8.1
  • Office 2013 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Adobe Acrobat Basics
  • Adobe Photoshop Basics
  • Creating short videos on the desktop
